Good morning!
How did you greet the person you met in the mirror this morning?
Did you say "hello beautiful?"
Did you tell them how proud you are of the way they lived yesterday?
Did you look at that person and tell them that no matter what happened today, you trusted that they would do their best?
Did you promise to care for them today, to take time to just to breathe, maybe take a little walk, and eat good food?
How about just a simple "I appreciate you"?
Did you treat them like a friend?
Last Sunday I preached about incarnation. Christ came to us in the flesh. These bodies of ours have been sanctified by Christ. They are a holy gift where we live our entire lives.
I was once told that the first half of our life we have the face we were born with. In the second half, we have the face that is created by our way of life.
If you quickly brushed your teeth and hurried on to your day, can you take a minute and go back to the mirror and just spend a minute in appreciation of you?
Will this change the world? Maybe not. But one moment of you loving you sets you on a path to love others.
